Hadassah Medical Center is Chosen for Clinical Trial of Universal Flu Vaccine
6-Dec-2010
The Hadassah Medical Center is one of the sites chosen for the testing of a universal influenza vaccine, developed by BiondVax Pharmaceuticals Ltd., an Israeli biopharmaceutical company.

The Phase IIa clinical trial of the Multimeric-001 universal flu vaccine will evaluate its safety and immune capabilities in providing protection against all strains of flu. Involving 200 volunteers, the study is being conducted jointly at Hadassah and Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Hospital and results are expected in March. The previous Phase I/II trials with 18-49-year-olds and 55-to 75-year-olds revealed the vaccine to be safe and well tolerated.
