Hadassah Mexico hosted its second First Aid course in the fall, this time reaching out to the Monte Sinai community of Mexico City.

This grassroots initiative has the two-fold goal of providing community members with the necessary tools to face a health emergency and to raise money for the Pediatric Renovation at Hadassah Hospital-Mount Scopus.

Publicity included a series of e-mail blasts and colorful posters, strategically placed at all the major synagogues, community centers, and various restaurants.

The course, given in two sessions which lasted approximately three hours each, was taught by a physician and nurse.  Specially prepared First Aid Kits were offered for purchase. Each participant was given a diploma certifying his or her attendance.  For more information: Hadassah-Mexico@hadassah.org
